I wonder what I would’ve done without it. Thanks!
Hannes/ August 23, 2016
I would like to know if there are memos for the short story Jacob the Great reading comprehension
Mr. Morton/ August 24, 2016
What do you mean by memos?
Heather Beaman/ April 29, 2016
LOVE THIS WEBSITE!!! WOW!
Lot’s of hard work and good stuff. Great for IEP goal data.
I only wish there were more fiction passages for the middle school grades. 🙁 There are a ton of non-fiction, which I usually prefer, but only found the one story “Jacob the Great.”
Mr. Morton/ May 5, 2016
Thank you for saying so. I would like to write a bunch of short stories for study soon. In the mean time, have you seen this page: http://www.ereadingworksheets.com/free-reading-worksheets/short-stories-with-questions/ ? Or this one: http://www.ereadingworksheets.com/free-reading-worksheets/story-structure/story-structure-worksheets/
<-- That page has a bunch of short stories that I wrote.
Ross/ April 21, 2016
Thank you for such a fantastic website. I just want to let you know that the second paragraph in “the lottery ticket” story (in the pdf file) does not make sense at all, you might have inserted the wrong paragraph?
Mr. Morton/ April 21, 2016
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Thank you even more for the diligence.
I have made the correction to the text
so that it is a single linear story,
instead of a story with a paragraph from a different story
It’s much better now.
Joakim/ March 8, 2016
Where can I find the answer keys?
Mr. Morton/ March 15, 2016
Answer keys can be found, when available, in a link at the bottom of each activity posting that says “View Answers.”

Hi, I sent a comment a few days ago regarding a worksheet on Submarines’ answer key not having questions 10 and 13 correct answer in bold. I need to grade the worksheets and post grades. I feel I know the answers, but I want to be sure.
Thank you for allowing teachers to use such wonderful and helpful worksheets!

My school district is “create it yourself” district with limited funds for curriculum purchases. If I have created anything that you can use, please help yourself. Jayne/ December 1, 2011
A teacher friend of mine shared this website with me and it is what I’ve been looking for since I recently began teaching. I do have a question though, is there a way for us to know what grade level the worksheets are for? I don’t want to accidently choose a 6th grade worksheet to use with my 9th graders.
Mr. Morton/ January 14, 2012
I’m afraid not, but nobody knows your students better than you. If you find that one of the worksheets is leveled too low or too high, download the RTF file and edit it appropriately. Thanks for visiting.
Mr. Morton/ August 16, 2014
I have recently added readability scores to many of the pages. I hope this helps.
