Love is in the air, and so are springtime assessments. What better way to review main idea and text structure than with this Valentine’s Day review worksheet? Students will read six exciting love themed passages. On a separate sheet of paper or the back, students will write the main idea of each paragraph. Then students will come up with an appropriate title for each passage. This is a great technique to further check for understanding of a passage’s main idea. Lastly, students will draw a visual representation or graphic organizer of passage and enter appropriate supporting details. I know that your students will LOVE this activity.
